I brought my car here running perfectly clean smog came in for an oil change, but immediately after picking it up, my check engine and traction control lights popped on with a P0101 airflow code circuit code. Car wouldn’t properly fire and would stay on limping mode wouldn’t properly reverse. Car was COMPLETELY fine before. No codes. Staff tried to tell me and pressure me into buying a brand-new Mass Airflow sensor simply because my car has 85k miles. I am very disappointed I myself am studying law and my father is a car mechanic he will be hearing from this and it’s just frustrating overall since I wanted to trust this location. They stated that the issues was because of mileage and kind of saying it wasn’t their fault when it is not normal for an engine light to turn on after an oil change which is completely away from the air flow compartment. I came in for an oil change to visit my family that lives far for my birthday weekend this weekend but I ended up paying $90 (which I believe is severely overpriced for an Oil change). We have been coming to Auto Check Center for more than two decades. All our family cars are under their care. Mansour and Mohammad and very knowledgable and honest. When I lived in NY I would call them to double check if my mechanic there was giving me correct advice and they would take the time yo answer me. Even though, I don’t live in OC myself I still bring my care for its service here whenever I visit.

I had a great experience at Auto Check Center. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. It’s not always easy to find a place you can trust with your car, but they really showed their expertise and honesty. This is probably the cheapest smog check in Irvine. They also have a coupon on their website that brings the price down to just $28.75 for a regular car. The service was very friendly, when I came in on Wednesday, I didn’t have to wait at all. Everything was ready within about an hour. I’m very grateful and will definitely be coming back here only.
